Default Older FF/FC Wheel Solid Model

Does anyone have a model of the older FC OZ wheel (mid year VD style) solid model they are willing to share?

I've found some newer ones from the FSAE forums, but I'd like the older style.

Looking to get into the 3d printing fun!

    thanks,
    Jim

I've been playing with Onshape, and it could definitely be used to take that 13x7.5 FSAE model and modify it to suit a Van Diemen.

And I've started in on recreating a Van Diemen wheel from the image (with dimensions) at Primus:

I'm pretty sure I've got a model of the 5-spoke as used on my Van Diemen S2. I'll find it and try uploading it here.

Here is what I have. 5-spoke design 13x6 and 13x8. The files are Solidworks parts. Let me know if you need another specific format.

I was unable to upload .prt or .zip files. So I changed the extension to .pdf. You will need to change it back to .zip and extract the files.

    That's terrific, David!

I was able to import your stuff into OnShape, and I think I'll be able to build a new and improved version with radii on the flanges and humps for retaining the bead, etc.

I can already tell you that in aluminum, before removing material to make spokes, the model weighs just over 12.5 lb. Make the same thing in magnesium and it's 8 lb.

Then that's about right -- they are magnesium and weigh in the 7-8 lb range.

    Glad it's useful to you.
