Default DP04 Motorcycle rear sub frame Van Diemen

    Hi,

I am converting a FE chassis to run in the P2 class with motorcycle power. I have purchased a rear sub frame assembly that holds a 1L motorcycle engine that I think might have been used in what Elan called the DP04. I believe that there were a couple of these setups that ran in F1000. One of which was owned by Ben Cooper at one time.

I am in desperate need of any pictures that someone might have that shows how the engine is mounted, in particular the front upper motor mounts, and some of the additional bracing within the engine bay. There are many bosses welded to the rear subframe in various locations and I have no idea what they are for. Additionally I could use some rear wing mount pictures, rear suspension pictures, and basically anything from the main roll hoop rearward.

    Thanks,

    Scott

As I recall, Ben Cooper had several of the DP04 "kits" so he would be a good resource. You can reach him at Sebeco Motorsports. He goes by SEComposites on Apex: https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/mem...8-SEComposites

    Hi Mike,

Ben actually sold me the rear MC subframe and has been very helpful. He said that he had a bunch of pictures but wasn't sure where to find them. Additionally I think is pretty busy building up the Sebco NP01 program so I thought I would reach out the the F1000 community and see what I could find.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Maybe try Doug Hertz: https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/mem...sprocketmensch
He ran an Elan for a few years prior to buying his Firman.
