I'm 6'-0" 200+ pounds and it fits me fine.

My buddy asked if you measure the car at the shoulders? He is rather linebacker-esque

He just fits in my Novakar.

The measurement kind of depends on the driver's height. I added some plates in the shoulder area, which you can see in a couple of the pics, and added foam. There's almost 19" between those plates...kept me snug. If the driver is less than 6', there is more shoulder room as you sit more forward (maybe with a seat insert, if that makes sense). And those shoulder plates could be removed with some minor grinding (not structural).

In 2011, or thereabouts, Don Clar (SF Bay area Novakar builder/driver) replaced the straight tubes that run above the driver's arms from the main hoop to the front hoop with tubes with a slight bend in them...the bend mostly near the front hoop. This worked well for me - a little more room for my arms when driving and made it easier getting in and out.

Thanks I will let my friend know. Another friend, Gene Rolfe always spoke well of Don's work so good to know he did it.

Don also replace the jackshaft at that time, including the bearings, spacers, etc. Quality work and fun times at the track with him.

We can't convince you to bring it out again, I need some racing friends on the west coast I remember that last outing at Sonoma.

Time & $ is keeping me from racing with you again, I'm hoping someone else could enjoy it. Btw congrats on a great season that year .
