    Default Puck Material Preference

    All,
Checking in to see if what others may be willing share about Puck material. I normally run natural Gum Rubber in the rear (40 durometer) and a black (can't remember the type of rubber) in the front (60 durometer). This is for a KBS style can. Looks like this stuff has gotten expensive since last time I looked at it- $40-$60 for a 6x6 sheet at McMaster so I hate to buy to many different types to play with.

How 'bout just buying your pucks from Jay Novak, since he has spent many years researching and making the best pucks out there?

The Novak pucks will only work with the NovaKar suspension design. The pucks the OP is referring to are for a canister design not the Novakar setup.

Sorry - thought I had read once a few years back that Jay made other style pucks as well.

We have used multiple different types of materials but the focus on our ststem has always been on the actuation geometry and not on the durometer. The material that we have used for quite some time is made in molds btw
    Thanks ... Jay Novak

Jay if it's case of making batches keep in mind I still need pucks. There is an event in about 3 weeks that I'd like to make it to.
