We just decided to sell our Titan Mk.6 to help my son get into a sports racer that was just offered to us. The Titan has multiple wins at Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill, and Portland International since we got in 2017. It won the 2018 Crossflow Cup Championship. It also held the Historic Formula Ford track record at Sonoma. The car has an Ivey engine with 11 races on it, and a Hewland that was gone through by John Anderson Racing in 2018. It has Koni double adjustable shocks and a Tilton clutch. It is also set up for left foot braking.
The Titan is easy and forgiving to drive, and consistently runs at the front, including it's last Crossflow Cup race, July, 2020, where it finished 3rd. The Titan also finished 1.5 seconds behind Jonathan Kotyk's /Neil Porter Crossle 35F in Kotyk's Crossflow Cup Formula Ford warm up race on the way to his 2018 SCCA National FF Championship the following weekend at Sonoma Raceway.
Known Needs: The gearbox drips oil. It appears to be the input shaft seal. Everything works fine, but it does drip. The Titan also needs a fuel cell. It does not leak, but needs to be changed. Belts expire at the end of 2020.
The car has the patina of an active race car, and is not concours in any sense. However, it is not priced as a concours car either at $23,000.00. So if you want to go quickly and comfortably, and still have plenty of money left in your pocket, this is probably a car worth looking at. It is located in San Rafael, California, about 15 minutes from Sonoma Raceway.
