Default Anyone know a prep shop who would help me with my Stöhr P1?

I have had poor luck prepping and racing my own car with the help of a couple buddies. It just isn't working out and I need a team to keep the car, prep it and have track side support. Anyone know of a team that could help me out?

I heard about this place called Level 5 Motorsports that seems to know prototypes...

I kid, I kid. It's Friday and my goofball side comes out.

Bruce Lindstrand is currently prepping a WF1 (among others) and might have room for another car. They're not in Michigan but most likely attend most of the same tracks.

    Consider Lindstrand Motorsports in Wisconsin:

    Default Mitchell Racing Services

Bruce is great but I believe he is retiring, at least that was his plan a couple weeks ago. I would call him to verify that though.

If not Lindstrand I would look at Mitchell Racing services in Indy. They have a lot of experience with the mc engines and are very good with attention to detail. I'm siure you would be happy with Leon and Jeremy

Thanks. I'll look into both places.

I, as well, would vouch for Mitchell Racing.

Default V2 Racing - Detroit area

He mostly spends his time on SMs these days, but Ralph Provitz, V2 Motorsports knows his way around a DSR/P1 or two - used to run Staudacher's last, fastest DSR.

    He's in Sterling Heights:

Not that Lindstrand would be a bad idea by any means, but in case you're looking for something closer. EDIT: I see it may not be that much closer!

    Default Stuff

I would give Keith Averill a shout. I trust him with all my fab solutions and set ups. I have dealt with Keith for 40 years and never had a problem.

Look up LTD Motorsports in the SE MI area too. Dave does good work. I'd offer to help with the setup and engineering work but I cant provide any trackside prep work.

I am a new Stohr owner and currently am living the dream of "prepping my own car with the help of a couple buddies" as well.

Can you give me a sense of some of the challenges you are having so that I can watch out for these gotchas in my own prep?

    Best of luck,

Alliance Autosport located in Columbus, OH specializes in SRF3 and FE2, but we also do trackside with TA2 and other cars. We attend 20-24 events each season.
