    Default Radiator Repair

Any recommendations for someone that can repair an all aluminum radiator?
    Hopefully on the west coast.

    Default aluminum radiator repair

Had a radiator on my RT4 get punctured so I took it to one of my local radiator shops for repair figuring it would be welded, soldered or something. $150 later the fix was an epoxy glop on the affected area and to find out that is the normal repair. Do yourself a favor, buy a kit, clean the area and repair it yourself and save about $125!

I just had a conversation with a custom radiator builder I didn't know existed here. He told me radiators shouldn't be built out of aluminum! Copper and brass only!

Then he then spent 15 minutes telling me exactly that - epoxy.

An old friend of mine in Michael Brayton (former CanAm driver) used to build radiators, and said the same thing. He built me the most beautiful silver soldered copper core and brass surround radiators imaginable for one of my Lola’s.
