    Default FRP F1600 Mid-Ohio July 3-5

The next FRP event has the F1600 Championship, RCFFS, FVCC, F1000, and F2000 classes at Mid-Ohio on the July 4th weekend. Races on Saturday and Sunday. F1600, FVCC, and F2000 all recognize "Masters" classes with older drivers. F2000 Classic is also recognized within the F2000 group.

    Always a fun event!

What is the "spectator" situation? I'm nearby and would enjoy watching (and hopefully participating next year if the Classic F2000, Pinto, class holds). Are spectators allowed? Need to be on a list?

At the SVRA event last weekend, spectators were allowed. MidOhio has some rules so you should check their website for details.

There is info at the F1600Series.com site. Get on a guest or crew list by contacting the Series. You can certainly go under my name, but I am sure that is not necessary. I would avoid arriving at the gate and asking if you can spectate, as I expect that is about the only way you might not get in.

There was a big crowd of spectators there last weekend for the SVRA event. They were still coming in the gate when I left at 11am on Sunday.

I understand spectators are allowed by MidOhio. My question was more about FRP rules. I think I found what I needed online.

Shakey start to the event with a multi-car crash on the race 1 start, but then racing was very good. Simon Sikes won race 1. Dexter Czuba and Jackson Lee followed with their first FRP wins. I believe Scott Rubenzer swept the Masters races.
