    Default Formula Car Lift Plans

Does anyone have plans to build a formula car lift.
I know there use to be someone on here that would sell them for a donation but I know he passed away a few years ago. I beleive it was Mike McCarthy but I could be wrong.

    Thanks
    Jeff

It was Brian McCarthy of SoCal.
I have part of the original file but the rest got corrupted & lost.
I've shared it with a few people out here over the last couple of years, so if somebody could please re-share it...

Here are the plans. The idea was that you should donate to the SCCA Steet Survival program as a thank you.

No affiliation, but this is one of those exact lifts (as best I can visually see) for sale that might be of interest:

Thank you mark. It would cost a fortune to ship because of size and weight.

I built this hoist decades ago. It is built from thin wall tubing, so it is light weight. It can be dis-assembled in minutes. I carried it in my trailer beside the race cars to use at the track. It is still being used by a customer today.

I built it to lift FF,FC, FSV. I even used it to lift a horse.

I had a 12 volt electric wench to lift the cars. Or a chain fall. The electric wench required some bracing that is not shwon in this drawing.

If you want plans send me a PM.

The horse was down and could not get up because of foot problems.

The hoist is stable enough to lift 1100 pounds of something that wiggles as it is being lifted.
