Default Fiberglass vs Carbon Fiber body kit? Big Difference?

Hope everyone is enjoying the delayed season so far. I had a question regarding a potential upgrade from a full fiberglass body kit (side pods, nose, diffuser, etc) to a carbon fiber kit. Has anyone made this switch? Any idea what total weight saving was and how that translated to lap times (all else being equal)? Any other difference you noticed once you got back on track?

    Thanks in advance!

The weight savings is not huge. Depending on supplier, the carbon fits WAY better than the glass.
I doubt that you will see it on the stop watch but anything is possible.
The exception to that is the diffuser. The original diffuser is a piece of crap

I have one cf and one glass side pod you can feel the difference when you pick it up, but a light lunch may be the same.

Agree - better fit and finish, but don't expect measurable gains on track. I used the philosophy that if a part was broken, then replace with CF. Diffuser first.

Is your car up to date with the later suspension and aero changes?
