    Default Steering Wheel Electrical Switch Coupler

    Gents;

    I have a Stack ST8100 for my car, and it comes with four (4) function switches. Then there is the PTT switch.

    In my prior life, I fabricated a dash mounted four (4) pin PPT micro cannon female plug mount, so I could easily remove the steering wheel completely to get in and out of the car.

    My steer wheel quick disconnect is of the “zero slop” type. I was wondering if anyone has fabricated, seen, or know of any enterprise that has a multi-pin male/female cannon plug steering shaft bracket assembly?

    My 2004 PFM had a quick disconnect in the hub. The steering wheel had 4 momentary push buttons. Spa makes them. Pegasus stocks p/n 3407 (8-pin 5/8” shaft) or 3419-026 (12 pin 1.0” shaft)

    The electrical plugs themselves are Lemo in the SPA units if I am not mistaken

    I've wired & repaired both the SPA and Krontec units. The Krontec uses Deutsch Autosport connectors (modified but the tools to work on it are common).

    If you want to use your existing quickrelease, looking at what Krontec did might give you some clues.

    Fred is correct, Lemo pins/housings are used in the SPA -- but they install them is special pre-wired pieces. Parts are available to repair both the wheel and shaft side.

    Here is someone selling the Krontec:
