    Default Honda sensor question

On my FF with a Honda engine, see picture below for what looks like a resistor that was connected to my main disconnect and the wires disappear under the body and fuel cell. I found it was disconnected (wire broken off one side) at Sebring this year but don't know what it does. The car still ran, not great that weekend but sounded normal. Any idea what it does.

It helps protect the alternator when you use the cut-off switch to turn off a running engine.

I believe that is the resistor that comes from kill switch and protects the alternator.

Cool, thanks for the help. I'll call HPD and order a new one.

You're certainly free to give them your business. However, that's not a unique Honda component.

Google 3 OHM 10 WATT resistor you will see you have plenty of options, some less than $1.

Elliot Electronics right there in Columbia SC has the part you need for $1.69

Daryl, That's great, thanks for the extra effort. I looked at the HPD part list and didn't see it there. Will call Elliot supply tomorrow.

    Stay safe
