- Career Results- Jim is a true veteran of F2000 racing. Although he got his start in Sedans the first time he drove a formula car he left the closed cockpit cars behind forever He began in a Reynard F2000 car and then purchased a 1988 Van Diemen and finally moved into the light blue 2001 Van Diemen which he still drives today. Everyone in the paddock jokingly says that Jim has more F2000 starts then anyone in the country. He has had several wins and is supported by his brilliant crew chief and wife Carol Belay. The last couple years they struggled with break downs in their old motorhome and it literally cost him a chance at 2018 and 2019 championships in the PrimusF2000 series. Since he has acquired the new transportation for 2020, look for Jim to be a threat for the title after grabbing 3rd spot in the championship the last 2 years in a row.
