    Default Side Pod Floor Materials

    Gents;

    Although I did not use Jab-rock on my last rebuild, I found a reasonable facsimile that worked quite nicely. But I would like to move to an ABS or other workable (routers, saber saws ......) material. Any ideas?

    Rick -

    I've looked for foamed PVC, it is available but not in our area - but might be a product to consider. Also, Speedway Motors sells a 0.11 thick plastic in rolls for roundy-round car body panels. Pretty cheap - like 20 bucks for 20 feet or so and nearly 2 ft wide. Fills the space if no structural safety issues in the pods?

    Call you Monday.

    Cheers - Jim

    Now I race cars. So, am I now called a PAVIATOR?

    I cut Jabroc with a regular old bandsaw with metal blade on it. No issues whatsoever.

    Baltic birch plywood is also a good option. You can make it last a lot longer by vacuum bagging it with epoxy resin.
