Bound to be a 83 Maurer is this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MHBzS9Zw26c I have the SA Atlantic championship regs which may give some of the specs you are seeking.

An old book on the European Formula 2 championship mentions that the works Maurer team ran Michelin radials, while a customer Maurer team used Bridgestones in 1983.

It may be worth contacting Chevron Cars ( http://www.chevronracingcars.com/ ) as Maurer operated out of the old Chevron factory, with a number of staff including Paul Owens.

As you probably know already, the MM83 was designed by Gustav Brunner, later of Ferrari, Toyota and other F1 teams.

    Default chassis 83

I have talked with Chevron but they have nothing from the time Maurer was operating with Chevron. i would assume the team took all their documents back to Germany. I have Paul Owens email address but have yet to get a reply

Thanks for the image of the Misano race publication

Kenny Acheson's Maurer MM83 ran Bridgestones, although his car appears to have still been entered by Maurer Motorsport according to the records I found.

Using his name as well as 'Maurer' in a web search brings up a few additional photographs but nothing in detail, sadly. I also tried 'Maurer Formel II' as a search which, again, brings some other general pictures including a later racecarsdirect listing of an MM83:

    https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/De...oric-formula-2

The Trevor van Rooyen Mazda-engined car (although an MM82, I think) is still in existence. I located a photo of that car from 2016 when it was run by Edi Taveri from Switzerland:

    https://www.flickr.com/photos/158218946@N07/38120708441

    His team website is: https://www.taveri.ch/racing.htm

There is an email address on there so perhaps he can help with chassis plate details, as I doubt they would have changed much, if at all, between 1982 and 83.

The only other thing I did locate (on eBay UK) was a rather expensive original Maurer team decal!
