    Default Starting point: Spring rates?

    Starting point: Spring rates recommendations?

My RF92’s suspension is a bit different than stock. The previous owner had the front mono shock converted to a dual shock set up by Pat Prince and I changed the rear to the EFM set up. The motion ratios are now both 1:1 (99% sure but I need to double check.) I think the stock RF90/91 FF dual shock set up is around 0.9 in the front and I know the rears are around 0.56.

So, what is the current thoughts on how stiff to set up the car? I was going to start with wheel rate = spring rate. I know this can be a controversial topic but I need to start somewhere. Probably doesn’t matter any... in my advanced age I’ll likely be DFL.

Again, thanks in advance for all the help.

    Autocross secrets?

I know Jim had to have tested every possible configuration when he ran the Citation.

Just looking for a front and rear spring rate starting point out of the gate. The springs I purchased, long ago, will give me a 1:1 spring rate to wheel rate. Decent starting point or a waste of time?

Thanks again for all the help.

That's a good place to start. It might be just right. Maybe a little more or less.

    I wish I understood everything I know.
