    Default 82 Tiga/Mariah

I am putting my 82 Tiga with the Mariah body conversion up for sale.
This was the first car converted to the Mariah body by Hal Whipple. The conversion was done in 83 or 84 and the car did run in the pro series at that time.
Car includes 4 sets of wheels and the body molds.
    $20,000 OBO

    Since someone asked me offline.
This is a legal Sports 2000 with the exception of a working brake light.

Back in the day I traded my Reynard S2000 for Fred's lime green Mariah bodied Tiga (the first one he had).

I am biased but I think the Mariah body is prettier and has better aero (Great nose downforce) then the OEM Tiga body but purists may scoff at it.

I wouldnt hesitate to do it again. Had a lot of fun with that car and won a championship with it. Sold it to my father who I think also won a championship with it.

A bit more info about the car.

I have re-worked the cooling system with a much better radiator and hose routing. Now it almost runs too cool. I may need to start blocking off part of the radiator.
The oil system has also been completely re-plumbed and a slightly larger oil cooler installed. Oil temp has never been an issue on any of the S2's that I have owned but it never hurts to have a cooler.
The fuel system has been changed over to an electric pump. This has been dead reliable since I installed it about 5 weekends ago.
The brake system has new lines with the exception of a short line at the rear (it's on my list to upgrade) and the master cylinders have been upgraded to AP units from the Girlings that were on the car. The front rotors are Coleman solid discs and it has Coleman rotor hats as well. 4 piston LD65 calipers in front and 14LF two piston calipers in the rear..
The shift linkage has new joints which has made the shifting much easier.
The front hubs are aluminum units that we made and they have been on the car for the last 4 race weekends. The wheel bearings were replaced with new at that time as well (front and rear).
The rear outer CV joints and stub axles/hubs have been converted over to a commonly available unit to replace the original Tiga outer CV's that have become difficult to source. This was also done 4 weekends ago and the axles and all 4 CV joints were replaced at the same time.
A Marc Bushman starter has solved the intermittent starter issues that I was having when I first got the car.
The car also has a front crush box.
Car has a current SCCA Annual and new belts good thru 2025

I truly enjoy this car but I am often a one man show at the races and the bodywork is difficult to deal with alone.(difficult but not impossible)

I will not be building another P2 or S2 motor for this car. Now is your chance to get a great car for vintage racing. Just install your engine or I can install it for you. Make me an offer.

If I didn't have a 492 in the garage, this would be taking its place. Strikes me as an unbelievable deal, on what is a very pretty car.
