Anyone have any experience with using a battery isolator like those made by cartek and their approval by SCCA?

I just installed a MSEL unit. It’s FIA approved. My interpretation is that SCCA will accept it.

We use a simple toggle switch, a number 10 or 12 wire from the positive side of the battery to the toggle switch and from the other side of the toggle to "the car". We have used a simple high amp mil spec toggle or a mil spec toggle circuit breaker from Aircraft Spruce.
The circuit breakers David mentions above are meant to be used as on/off switches, as compared to household type breakers that aren't.
Don't think they're required.
