    Default Brake/Clutch MC Modification

    Gents;

    I was thinking about this. My brake and clutch master cylinders are nearly impossible to check/fill without the 2.25” plastic extenders and flimsy couplings. They leak like a sieve.

    I have considered having the threads removed by machining from the Girling housing and TIG an extension with a nice aluminum vented cap.

    Firstly, is this another one on Iverson’s Follies? Secondly, vented machine caps caps are available where?

    Why not R&R with masters with remote reservoirs?

    +1 for remote reservoir. I see my masters maybe once a year, if that, as they're buried under ductwork for my rad, but have a remote reservoir mounted up over my feet, easy to get to...

    remote reservoirs = the solution has already been invented. K.I.S.S.

    Besides which the heat from the TIG may distort everything causing more issues.

    Check out DaveW's recent rebuild thread for other ideas.
