    Default FE/FE2 in sports racer

I understand a FE with bodywork runs in P2.... what does an FE2 run in? If FE2 runs in P2 do they run at different weights? If not a FE has no chance competing... please help

FE2 with bodywork is a P2, Tray Ayerys won the Runoffs this year in one.

Not quite. The current ESR spec includes a high output 2.3 L motor making 200+ hp. Not the same as the FE 2.3 170 hp. The 2.0 FE2 drivetrain (183 hp) isn't classified yet, but could be (or could be the basis for a P2 based on the regular rules (i.e., not a spec line car)). Note also, to run up front in P2, you are probably going to want to take full advantage of the splitter, floor, and diffuser rules, open springs and dampers, etc.

That being said... a FE car has no chance in P2. I was thinking of looking for a FE car due to price but there is no where really this car has any or much competition. I see why the value is dropping on them now.

As in no competition in P2? Or overall? FE fields have been very strong through the year.

Yeah, but this was the last year FEs qualified for the runoffs.

Thanks. I was wondering what the heck was in that winning P2 car. I thought maybe it had the new FE2 engine/gearbox package. I thought, that combo is fast, but it's not THAT fast.
