    Default Tubing Supplier

Anyone have a reliable source for ally tubing? I've tried Woolf but get no response.

I need 18' (in 6 foot sticks ok) of 1.25 OD, .050 wall, 5052 (or similar) tubing. Also I need 90 degree and 45 degree tight bends of the same.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

TW Metals has a whole bunch of it! I don't know how competitive their pricing is on such small lots as I've never purchased anything from them. I do go to their LA location quite often for work assignments and they do a whole lot of volume.

It appears that whatever he's fabricating is going to need to have some tight radius bends, 5052 is much better suited to forming and welding than 6061. 6061 is better for machining and is heat treatable.

Thanks to all. Daryl, you are spot on. Tightest radii possible for the Shadow water system.

These guys were most professional and can do exactly what I want. And the parts will be shipped on the morrow! Interesting side note - they use 6061-T0 and say it can be bent in as small a radius as any other tube. 1.25 tube to a 1.25 radius bend. Learn something every day.

The temper probably has more to do with bend ability than grade. The 0 or T0 grade might end up like a T4 at the bend radius after working. Are they going to bead the ends of the bends? 5052 works good for salt water fishing boats.
