    Default Shoulder belt anchor info

Looking for info on the shoulder belt anchors.

I have the brackets I'm missing the bolt/nut and rod that goes in the bracket.

Anyone have further details? From the attached picture it looks like a long bolt with a nut on the end. But the hole is only a 5mm hole for that. Is the silver piece on top an aluminum cover over the bolt?

    Any details appreciated.

It's a 1/4" NAS or AN bolt. I forget the grip length. The rod is 3/8" aluminum tube if memory serves.

We machined solid billet pieces to replace the brackets and crossbar setup that came stock.

Hole is too small for 1/4 inch bolt but a 3/16 would fit. I measured it exactly at 5mm.

Just seems so small for the loading that would happen in an accident. But I'll order some AN bolts and find some type of tube to protect the belt.

    Thanks.

Thinking about it, you are correct. It was a -3 NAS bolt. We also thought that was too small which is why we made our own mounts with a larger cross bar. The belts also should not be mounted like in your photo. If they are too long, get custom belts.

    Yeah Jay also said a 1/4 x 4 inch.

Only way to get a 1/4 inch bolt in there is to drill the brackets out 1/16.

    Thanks.

yeah lol. the multiple holes are for different height drivers, not over-under belt routing! you are loading the top in shear. it's not designed for that. i guess that's a photo from a car for sale though, not yours.
