Insurance (On Track, W2W Racing) available?

I know this has been discussed before here. I searched and didn't find any recent threads.

I am going to rent a car for an upcoming race. I found HPDE Track Day coverage (like, Hagerty's), but not for wheel-to-wheel competition racing.

Any leads or recommendations?

If you're renting a race car, it's up to you and the outfit renting to decide on the rules for damage. Make sure you both understand the rules for such damage. In those situations, it can be "Your break it, you pay to fix it." Or, maybe a dollar limit on the repairs.

You'll probably not find an outside 3rd party insure for on-track damage for your or a rented race car. You can get good cheap property insurance for YOUR race car, trailer, etc. But only for fire, theft, etc. NOT for on track damage thru your or someone else's fault.

Sad but true, if you can't afford to fix damage to a race car (yours or someone else's), you might consider another avenue for satisfying your need for speed. Just my two cents.
