Default Is anyone else getting excited about next week?

    Hi
Most of the posting about the 50th at RA are of a practical nature as they should be.
Schedule changes and housekeeping items for participants.
It occurs to me that next Thursday if all works out as I hope, I will have finished 4 sessions on track with upwards of 80 of my fellow competitors.
Some of you may already be in transit to WI.
I have to think that this a pretty damn big deal that we are about to participate in.
Is anyone else getting excited or are we putting on our best poker faces for the competition?

Crossing the border at Estevan, Saskatchewan tomorrow morning (coming from Abbotsford BC), we will be excited just to get to RA!

They say there are no stupid questions, but....

You guys have NO IDEA what it has taken for me to be there, and I doubt mine is the unlikeliest story. This is an event that will never happen again.

Question for anyone that knows the track...what is the best place to go for spectating and taking pictures? I understand these may have two separate answers. Would be nice if it was easily accessible from the paddock as well.

Turn 5 is hard braking and common passing zone - short walk from paddock
Canada Corner is a prime spot to watch
    Carousel is also fairly good

Good viewing on almost all corners that I can think of but those are the usual spots we'd hang out for Chump/WRL races. There's a good network of roads within the track and you can get to all the corners pretty easily. Can view many of them from the comfort of your car.

The map here shows where the grandstands are - http://trackpedia.winhpde.com/wiki/T..._America_track

Wish I could be there. Unfortunately, I'm buried with a bunch of hard deadline stuff.

    Everyone have a great time!

Unfortunately I can't be there either, but I'd be there if I could. I hope it goes as well as the 40th did, and I hope people post video afterwards, although the racing really isn't as important as being there, meeting fellow FF fanatics, and seeing all the cool cars. Video really can't duplicate that.Have a good time!

[I will be at Road Atlanta, however, unless an earthquake separates the PeeDee from the Appalachian foothills!]

Talent usually ends up in front, but fun goes from the front of the grid all the way to the back.
