Default FF 50th entrants by class location? and Who will Win?

I have been on the VSCDA site and can see a list of all entered, but is there a "FF only" listing for Group 11,12,&13 somewhere else?. I'm not sure how accurate the VSCDA list is in regard to classing... there are some really fast VFF (group 11) cars listed in group 12 and I would think they would want to race with other VFF's. Group 12 seems like the largest group so far...
I am thinking about posting my "who will win" like SCCA Sportscar does for some comic relief while all the tension builds...

    Thoughts???

I don't see a lot of particularly fast cars in any group. There are, however, some seriously fast Drivers.
    Caldwell D9B - Sold
    Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'

    Default FF50th = Woodstock

The FF50th are not the runoffs...more like Woodstock without the mud (although rain is in the forecast). We all win when everyone rolls their car onto the trailer at the end of the weekend.

Safe travels to Road America...see everyone in 5 days!

    Default who cares?

My XP machine won't let me go to VSCDA site (not secure?), so hopped on a W10 machine a while back, saw the entry list then. Has me in an MG Midget (guess from Sprite 60th, last year), not the 340 Lola... So, as to being listed with Fords, I didn't even make that....

I'm with Steve... getting back home is highest expectation, after just being there... Couldn't get to VDCA at Sav. this weekend for shakedown, due to Dorian...hoping better luck next week in Wisc.

    Goals:
    1. Get there
    2. Get car to run, on track
    3. Don't be a fool
    4. Hope to see everyone as they approach..
    5. Get done, with fun.
    6. Get home before any new storms appear.

I put the one over in from Jake's book...figure less r's better on engine, even if not "best" for overall speed... will see.

Watching Freeport GB weather last few days, brought back fond memories of doing SVRA week there in '86....hope the 50th leaves as many good memories... Praying for all. Expecting the best.

    NO RAIN!

    Okie

So, "...Don't take the brown acid" probably should apply here as well then.

Unlike Michael Lang's horrible attempt to do a 50th celebration of Woodstock, Steve you did an amazing job. Thank you!

Prediction: Kautz / Hazelton in an epic battle for the checker in group 13.

#1 Goal for all of us has to be loading a pretty car on the trailer Sunday afternoon.

#2 Have a good time with friends

#3 Drive your pretty car on a great racetrack
#3a Do some driving that you will be proud of.

#4 Have a good dice with someone (with 80 or so cars, it might be hard NOT to have a dice with someone!)
#4a Shake hands & drink a beer with that guy/gal you had a good dice with.

That should be the complete list of goals for all of us. Now it just happens that a few will be working on goal #4 at the pointy end.

If you ask me, Group 12 is wide open with pretty long list of names that could be dicing for the win. Todd Strong, Jeremy Treadway, Scott Fairchild, Phil Kingham, Shane Viccary, Joe Griffin, Ray Stephens, Kim Madrid - all proven fast guys/gals and race winners that I know about. I could name another half dozen that could mix it up with that group and there are probably a half dozen that I am just not familiar with that will also be vying for a top spot. That's 15-20 racers that will be tough to beat and I would not label anyone as a clear favorite.

With all the quality cars and drivers that will be there, a top 20 will be a result to be proud of. Top 10 could be the lead pack. Top 5/podium/win could be luck of the draw depending on last lap drafting.

What I'm excited about? I hope to be in that top 20 mix somewhere but as long as I can accomplish the 4 goals listed above, I'm going to have a great weekend no matter where I finish.

I spent 2 years making the first picture look like the second picture which is the same way it did in the third picture from 1989 when I sold it and vowed to own it again some day. It's going back in the trailer on Sunday with no more than a few rubber marks on it.

Not sure which group he's going to be racing in (CF or FF?), but I'm going to have to throw another name into that mix...Dave Weitzenhof. I have to say, I hope he's in CF, and I hope that I can keep close enough to him to be able to race with!

Weitzenhof is listed in Group 13 (slicks).

Based on qually times at Watkins Glen today, Eric Inkrott is another name to add to the list.

I'm in CF (my old Z16 now owned by John Hogdal) with slicks - group 13.

    Mike,

Your #20 Van Diemen is an over the top great example of the marque! I love seeing restored cars such as yours.

This is how I found it 2 years ago. Let's say the restoration was a labor of love.

Absolutely accomplished all of my goals. It was a true "bucket list" weekend. I am so happy that I was there to race with a the best and biggest field of vintage FFs ever assembled.
