Default FF50th @ Road America: Official Beer

As proclamed by Canadian hard-chargers Bill Tebbutt and Steve Bodrug, Labatt 50 is the official beer of the FF50th.

For those of you who do not know your Canadian beer history, Labatt 50 was the most popular beer in Canada from the late 60's well into the 70's. There is an iconic photo somewhere on the internet (I could not find it) of Gilles Villeneuve in his Ferrari under a Labatt 50 banner at the first Canadian GP in Montreal. Now Labatt 50 is somewhat derisively known as an old man's beer.

FF50th. Labatt 50. Old race cars (and really old engines). Old man's beer.

    It is a perfect match.

    See everyone in 33 days!

So Bill and Steve are bringing enough with them to share with their southern brothers and sisters I would assume.

Yes and no. Due to space restrictions in our own small trailer, we only have room for a cooler or two. So instead we've filled Brian Graham's tractor trailer with beer (it really holds a LOT of beer!!!). Simply introduce yourself to Brian at Road America, produce the requisite ID, and he will provide you with beer for the weekend.

    Cheers!!

    Default Labbats 50 sucks.

Horrible beer from what I remember, not sure if the big rig is making the trip or if I am giving my new F250 its first track run with a couple of cars in what will be my new "small trailer"....

Logistics and cost to do the BGR hauler may be too much to bear, but no fear friends, there will be Canadian beer on hand!!

    Brian.
