Default Weber DCOE 45 Rebuld Recommendations

Hi all. I am looking for recommendations to have my two 45 DCOE carbs rebuilt. They have been sitting for a number of years so they need a freshen up. These are low mileage carbs (next to none) and are on my Lotus twin cam LeGrand MK6. I have no problem going through the FF down-draft but the side draft looks a bit more complicated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am located in middle TN.

    Thanks.
    Graham

I have rebuilt both. DCOE seemed easier.
Get a book and follow it, it's very straight forward and knowledge from one applies to the other (i.e. float level etc)

Try these, they make it look pretty straight forward. With a laptop by your side you can pause and rewind when needed for reference.

But no mention is made of removing the shot plugs from passages. Pierce Manifolds in CA do a good job.

THE Master is Jim Inglese. He has rebuilt all of mine, both DCOE and IDA.

    Sandy at QS did mine.

I've also read a lot of good things about Gary Berg...

Also... when shipping them around the country i would insure them for full replacement value... just saying.

They are actually pretty straightforward. I have rebuilt and tuned them on my Elan for years. There is a yahoo group called Sidedraft Central run by a friend of mine, Keith Franck. He helped me with sealing the throttle shafts in my 50+ year old and well worn DCOE's. He has an amazingly easy way to set perfect float levels. Keith has also produced some great idle jets using needle tubing and some unique emulsion tubes for difficult applications.
