Default FF50th @ Road America: Registration is open!

Registration for the FF50th is open! Many thanks to everyone who pre-registered…it was hugely helpful in planning such a large event. Please use the on-line registration to confirm your entry and complete your registration. Missed pre-registration? No worries. With the addition of a third Formula Ford only race group, more entries can be accepted. Here’s the link to on-line registration:

    https://vscda.org/vscdaos/content/p/id/14/

With the third race group, it is now quite likely that second entries on a cross-over (one driver, one car, two race groups) will be confirmed. The priority remains maximizing the number of drivers experiencing the FF50th. Cross-overs will be confirmed starting August 1 and will not be bumped by a late entry.

To make the program, complete the on-line registration process by July 15.

    Hi Steve,

This might be (probably is) just a misunderstanding on my end, but I just want to clarify something. In the event registration, there is a selection for "FF50 Race weekend for presale ticket holders" and one for "VSCDA ELVF weekend race registration".

I pre-registered, so I would have thought that I want to take the first selection...however I want to make sure I participate in the FF50 race, so do I take the second one? Any clarification would be appreciated!

    Hi Steve,
This might me too much work, but would it be possible to get a spreadsheet (or list) of broken down by class and tire? For example, say someone was trying to scoop a CFF and wanted to be in the biggest group - treads or R60s?

    Reid,
Based on the 40th, I think it is VERY safe to say that the CFF on slicks will be in the bigger class. Although I don't bet (or date, or eat out, or spend an extra dime on anything but race car stuff), I'd bet $5 that the groups on slicks will be bigger.

My impression the last time I looked at entries, was that slicks, and FF in particular, was the smallest group.

    Default CFFs on slicks

Per the guidelines I received, group 13 is "current" FFs on treads or slicks and CFFs on slicks. So, looks like CF could go either or both ways on tires. Even run in 2 groups with different tires....drivers...etc.

    Default Answers to Questions

If you pre-registered and are completing your registration, use the "FF50th presale" path. If you missed pre-registration, use the "ELVF Weekend Race Registration" path. If you get it wrong, no worries. Stacy in the VSCDA business office is reviewing all entries and will make sure that those who pre-registered are credited with their deposit.

There are far more Club Fords on treads than on slicks, a big change from the FF40th. Here is the link to the pre-registration entry list. The final entry list, of course, will look much the same.

If you have not already done so, here's the link to the "FF50th Participation Guidelines" .pdf. There is lots of useful information to help everyone prepare for a busy weekend.

    Default Event Registration cost?

I am one of the pre-registrants, but don't recall the registration cost and you have to purchase the temp membership ($75) to get to the registration pages. Those who have done so... what is the final registration cost?
