Does anyone have a source for an electric (prefer) 12V solenoid for changing gears? I have a project that requires either an air shifter or an electric shifter. I know there are complete kits out there, but for this project I only need the actuator.

Look around for a 12 volt DC push or pull solenoid for example...

You want cheap in a 12 VDC siolenoid? Any GM 12v used (or new) starter solenoid and plunger ....any old 80's units.
