    Default Hewland crown wheel bolts

    Hi All, I have to replace the crown wheel bolts on a MK9 after one sheared off . Question the Hewland guy here in AUS wants
    $ 250 ad for 8 bolts ( guinue hewland i belive ) .
    Pegasus list bolts for $1.69 ea x 8 = $13.52 allow exchange and shipping would be aprox. $50.00 ad.
    Have any of you used these bolts ?? . Also could you point me in the direction of somebody who has better bolts that wont brake the bank, Thank You Lloyd CRE MOTORSPORT.

    If you know what the bolts are, call ARP.

    ARP if you can get them. Personally, I think Hewland bolts are crap.

    Second ARP. None better for just about any application that they are made for.

    Link to the ring gear bolts that they make. But most any of their bolts of the correct dimensions will be better than anything else you can find.

    Thanks to those that replied, Pegasus is out of stock , have not tried Taylors yet . Is there any other suppliers you can recomend as time is running out and I need these bolts. Thank You Lloyd.

    Lloyd, check Catapiller. Their range of high strength bolts are just as good as ARP, and a lot cheaper.

    We use a 12 point ARP flywheel bolt and they are great. We have them in stock if you need some still.

    Lee's crown wheel bolts are the fastest I've used. They are good for at least .3 seconds at Road America. You don't feel it on the top end, but the launch out of the low speed corners is where they come into play. It doesn't really show up on the dyno, but the stopwatch doesn't lie.
