I got bored with life and decided to go to law school so now I need to make some extra scratch to pay for it. I’ll trade you your dollars for Road America coaching and knowledge. I set the Road America lap record in 2012 and reset it to 2:21.037 in 2013 that still stands. I consider Road America my home track and have coached numerous vintage, SCCA, and pro drivers, albeit over 5 years ago. Need to know where the best showers are? I got you covered. Want the best local racer bar? I got you. Want to know how to get around the track? I got ya there too.
Coaching options include detailed track maps and video prior to the event, and gearing assistance. I have video in numerous FFs; modern, vintage, slicks, treads, in the wet and dry. For those running events at RA prior, I’m open to coaching those and test days.
During the event I’m available for on track ‘follow the leader’ for a few laps as I’ll be running the event (modern Ford/Slicks class), day-of coaching, video analysis, corner coaching for those in a different run group, setup assistance, etc.
I’ll include suggestions for the best cheese curds and frozen custard for those looking for the complete Wisconsin experience.
The downside is I won’t be at the track until Wednesday or Thursday evening, depending on the schedule so I can’t be there for the test day. That might change but I won’t know until the end of August.
PM me for details and options.
Local’s tip: Best pizza is DeO’malley’s in Plymouth. Best cheese curds are at The Gear Box on the hill overlooking T14. Best place to watch is above T13. Best frozen custard is all the frozen custard. Safety tip - take down all easy up canopies over night. Road America can get real windy and at the end of any given weekend the dumpsters will have more than a few of them after being turned into a pretzel.
I welcome you all to Wisconsin!
