I have always cleaned and repacked my trailer wheel bearings. But my ATC trailer has EZ-lube hubs. I have never used the feature. If I was how often do you add grease and how much?

5 pumps per side per year. Always use the hand grease pump. Never used the pneumatic pump. More often if you travel more. Never had a problem with them. Saves time and cleaning up the mess from hand packing. Too much grease is just as bad as not enough grease. You do not want to rupture the dust/dird seals on the back side.
Dust seals. That what my concern, blowing out the seal on the back side

I just counted at least 6 EZ lube axles on trailers behind the house.
Never an issue. Most of mine one must take the outside cap off in order to pump grease. (Dexter axles) That way any pressure will pump the excess grease to the outside, away from seal and the brakes. Two of those axles get submerged in salt water. Maintain the grease and its no problem.
