    Default Ford vs Ferrari

Looks pretty awesome... I love racing bio-pics. September 15th, 2019 release from Fox/Disney. Staring Christian Bale and Matt Damon. No public trailer as of yet, but reactions to the private showings of footage have been really positive.

Damon plays engineer Carroll Shelby, and Bale portrays the renegade driver Ken Miles. A first-look trailer shown to the exhibitors seemed to check multiple boxes: Mangold offered up sleek and honeycomb-tinted shots, heavy on car porn and punchy dialogue. Bale looks brooding and slick with engine grease. Damon does not go for vanity here as a down-on-his-luck engineer shacking up in an Airstream trailer. Tracy Letts plays Ford II, and got all the laughs as a bone-dry American entrepreneur desperate to best his auto rival.

The racing sequences are exhilarating, made elegant by the vintage car designs and exciting by how often they fall to pieces, catch fire or simply disintegrate in pursuit of glory.

This is an exciting project for sure. I'm really interested to see some of the track footage. I was at Willow Springs loading in for a test the day they were training Christian Bale on track and over the following week they brought in loads of prop cars and equipment.

I saw two open transporters on the 210 Freeway headed that direction loaded with Le Mans Ferrari prop cars...nearly sprained my neck from the double-take!
