Are they bolted as in a nut on the underside or are they bronze welded into place? If bronzed then 1/4" rod turned down to a point with a hole in it or if bolted use a 1/4" bolt with the head cut off and turned down to a point with a hole drilled through it.

Most roundy round suppliers stock these in aluminum or steel, google hood pins.
Summit, Jegs and even Pegasus stocks these.

McMaster sells a few sizes. The 5/16-24 were perfect for my Crossle

    Default more like them...

Commonly called hitch pins or lock pins here in the colonies,

https://www.mcmaster.com/lock-pins... is one source here, also in our hardware stores here and they are readily available in different wire sizes.

I think he wanted sources across the pond. Not in US.
And I think he wants the rod, or stud, not the cross/R pin.

    Default pins

Lola made those themselves - fitted on a lot of FF and S2s
Never was enough demand for us to make them though - one or two lost at a time!

    Default Thanks

Thanks guys, yep wanted the round headed shoulder bolts drilled for the R clips, can’t find them anywhere so will sketch and get some made. Still can’t believ no one stocks them. The straight ones suggested would need a nut both sides, or maybe two nuts to form the body panel location, there’s a thought, bit rough though !

    Default Dims of fastner

To save time I measured the one on my desk:
    7/16 0r 11mm bar stock turned down - thread is 1/4 SAE
    1/2" thread length
    1.25" overall length
Holes for R clips 0.1625" - two at 90 degrees to each other. 0.375 from top rounded bit and shoulder
    Nickel plated
