With 10 days to go, the entry is looking good for the Road Atlanta rounds of the FRP F1600 Championship. There are a few more to enter so we should end up in the high teens.While other race series may have more quantity, the quality at the FRP events is outstanding. I can guarantee that you won't see a 15 second gap in lap times between 1st and 15th. Whether a racer, or fan of good OW racing, come out and join us, and you will be home for Easter dinner. Races are Friday and Saturday. F2000, Formula Atlantic, and F1000 also on the FRP schedule.

I think everybody involved in this Series deserves a "round of clap".

Drivers, teams, officials, families ........ everybody!

It may have been the most challenging event in the history of the Series. I was at the first race at VIR eight years ago and it was similar to that , as was one at Lime Rock, and several at the Glen. After 3 days of running in the on-and-off rain, only two of 18 cars were DNS for the final of the 3 races. We had varying degrees of moisture on the track for every session, and not a full-wet set-up for any.

For the drivers and crews to run so many green flag laps, with such competitive racing, in those conditions. is something that we all should be proud of. It could so easily have become "the miserable weekend from hell."

For those with any form of modern FF/F1600 race car, there are 6 events and 18 races remaining. The next race is Watkins Glen May 10-11-12 and there are extra test sessions available to tune and prepare. Hope to see even more there!
