"Nice Van Diemen, I’ve owned it since 1996. Maintained by a prep shop for many years. Has not raced for several years, but driven regularly to keep in shape, stored in garage. Kept telling myself I was going to race it again, but retired and can’t afford it. Ford Kent engine. In good condition, ready to race. Will need new safety harnesses. Actually no, we recommend against putting direct contact information in all classifieds, because it's much easier to be involved in an internet scam.

I know the owner and saw the car at his shop in the spring. He is a straight up guy and isn't a scammer. He has a full life outside of racing and Apex. I'd suggest just looking for another car.
