    Default 1995 Van Diemen

SOLD SOLD SOLD. Selling my 1995 Van Diemen FF2000. This car is extremely fast and has many updates. It is race ready. This car has won many races in the Northwest with NWFC and Conference. It has raced against some very fast pinto/zetec cars and won. I've raced it from 2015 to 2017. Last year I didn't get to race due to a back injury unfortunately.

    About the car:

-Chassis has been modified with taller roll hoop and had the shoulder bars widened out 1.5 inchs per side. It can accommodate a much taller or wider driver than a standard 1995 Van Diemen. The roll hoop is approximately 4.5 inches taller than factory and was done professionally to be SCCA legal. The seat belt mounts were raised to work with HANS devices also.
-Floor was removed and rebonded in 2017.
-Penske 8700 triple adjustable shocks. Rebuilt by Primus racing in 2016.
-Suspension updated to 1996 car width. (approx. 1.5 inches wider than factory 1995 cars)
    -Pennon Diffuser.
    -Belts good to 2020.
    -New fuel cell in 2014.
    -Adjustable Front and Rear ARB's.
-Anti-intrusion panels of T6 AL along front sides of chassis.
    -Hi-tech exhaust.
-New AL tripod housings, and freshly done tripod joints.
    -New AN bolting on suspension.
-New bearing/rod ends on front/rear suspension including bellcranks front and rear.
    -Radiators freshly flushed.
    -Bead seat.
-AL front brake calipers. Rotors are 1 weekend old.
-Floating rotors with AL hats all the way around.
-Rear drive shafts di-pened to check for cracks. Driveshafts are updated drilled shafts.
-Taylor done LD200 with approx. 9 weekends on it. Fresh oil.
-New rear cover bolting on LD200.
    -Low downforce upper rear wing.
    -Jongbloed wheels.
-Freshly rebuilt pinto. Loyning's Engines did the motor. It has the up-rated camshaft, forged rods, lightened flywheel. This motor is extremely good and makes very good HP.

Spares that come with the car:
    -New unused nose cone.
    -repairable engine cover.
-full set of front suspension A-arms.
-3/4 set of rear suspension A-arms.

    Spares avaliable seperately:
    -3 sets of Jongbloed wheels.
    -1 driveshaft.
    -Factory front and rear ARB's
-Factory exhaust system (headers to tailpipe)
-New unused Avrill racing high downforce front wing
    -Used 95-96 front wing
    -Wing endplates front and rear.
    -Steel LD20 calipers.
    -Steel tripod housings.
    -Engine bay v-brace.
-Rear suspension bracing (tubular LD200 mounts)
    -Steering arms and upright mounts.
    -Steering rack bushings.
    -Factory seat.
    -Shock rebuild kits.
    -Many sets of springs.
    -Spare Mirrors.
    -Spare starter.
-Bearings for front and rear uprights.
-Full pinto engine spares (electrical, oil system, carb etc)
-Factory width upper and lower rear suspension (1 side).
    -Uninstalled Comprent Motorsports air intake
-Front skid plates and rear skid blocks
    -Rear suspension mounting blocks.
    -Spare tilton clutch.
-Velocity Haus front camber adjustment kit (unused)
-Complete spare pinto. Needs to be freshened.
-Spare pinto engine parts, (camshafts, rods, pistons)
-2 new unused radiators from Primus racing.

I'd like to sell the car, spares I've listed that go with it, and the spare motor for $20,000.
I'm open to selling the car as a roller, with either motor(s) or with any combination of spares. Please get a hold of me for details or possible combinations.
This is an extremely fast and well sorted car. I have all setup notes and engine information available to the buyer. I've spent countless hours and dollars keeping this car in top shape and its results show that.

Please contact me by email or phone to discuss further.

Same here, to msengineering at cox dot net, please.

New pick up points, or will the 96 a-frames fit into existing pickups. Also, front and rear?

Was the snorkel removed from the left side or are there different versions of the engine cover?

No engine cowl snorkel on the '95s AFAIK. Intake above the driver's head in the roll hoop.

I was told by the guys at Front Range Motorsports that the snorkels were added, they weren't a factory thing. Apparently, it made a couple mph difference on straights with the pinto engine.

I think this is Bill Modisette's old car. I have a picture of us running together at Buttonwillow in '05. It had the tall man roll bar, and the wider, thinner a-arms. I always thought his was a 96 because it had a higher pushrod attachment and slightly pointier nose. If this is that car I thought the wide track conversion was done with Ray Germaine's parts.

The factory bodywork has the intake inside the roll hoop behind the drivers head. The snorkels were add-ons.

The pick-up points are all the same for the wider suspension. PM me if anyone wants more details. I have drawings of the front arms. Prince made the set that is on the car. I know others make them as well. The rear is straight from a 96 car.

This is not Bill's car. I had the hoop raised myself. I bought the car from Chuck Savage in Texas in 2014. He bought it in the late 90's early 2000's. Before him it was run in the USF2000 Pro Series. (I will look through my records on who owned the car before Chuck)

    Thanks.

    Reny;

Who designed the rear adjustable sway bar? Do you have drawings and detailed photos you are willing to share?

Also, are both front and rear suspension widths wider than the RF-94/95, or just the front?

This car is really trick! Nicely done.

Did the car stay in the NW? If not, where did it go?

    Hi everyone,

Myself and Brad (Primus Racing) came up with the rear bar. I believe he has a kit for it now. You might have to call him though. I made a thread on the install when I first put it together. I will try to find a link. It had lots of photos and information. The factory bar's stiffness is almost exactly in the middle of the adjustment range of the new bar.

    https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/sho...table-Rear-ARB

Both front and rear are wider than a factory rf-95 car. The front is 1.5" wider overall and I think the rear is 1" wider. I will have to look and see what the exact track is now.

Unfortunately the car is not staying in the NW. I was hoping it would, but its headed to Texas.
