Default 2019 Right Coast Formula F Series schedule

    Hi and Merry Christmas!

The Right Coast Formula F Series is very pleased to announce our five-race schedule for 2019. Staying true to our stated purpose, we will be racing at five of the most challenging tracks in the country. These tracks provide our drivers with great tests of their skills as well as guaranteeing great racing.

2019 will be, or rather has become, the North American Season of Formula F. There is a plethora of commemorative events being scheduled to celebrate the golden or 50th Anniversary of Formula F in the United States. The Right Coast schedule includes two special weekends to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Formula F in the United States.

The 2019 Right Coast Schedule is as follows:

June 1 -2 New Jersey Motorsports Park Lightning Circuit with the South Jersey Region SCCA

June 28 – 30 The Golden Anniversary Part 1 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with Formula Race Promotions (SCCA sanctions)

August (TBD by FRP) Pittsburgh International Race Complex with Formula Race Promotions (SCCA sanction)

August 23 – 25 Summit Point Raceway with the Woodbridge Karting Club & Formula Race Promotions (SCCA sanction)

November 1 – 3 The Golden Anniversary Part 2 at Road Atlanta with the Atlanta Region SCCA

We know that it is sometimes very difficult to find a way to get to one of these special commemorative events between work, family commitments, etc. so we decided to provide the Formula F community with two opportunities to help celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the best class of race car ever invented.

While all the upcoming season’s 50th anniversary events are being held at terrific race tracks, we have unfortunately also seen that not all Formula F cars are welcome at all these celebratory events. All Formula F cars are welcome at Right Coast Formula F series events. Ford or Honda power; slick or treaded tires, if you are legal according to SCCA GCR Formula F specifications you are welcome to race with us.

We will very shortly have a pre-registration site for the Golden Anniversary Part 1. It will be on MotorsportReg.com and we will announce its opening very soon. This is so we can begin to get a count of the drivers who are planning on coming to the always challenging Mid Ohio Sports Car Course to relive the many years of FF racing held there. With a dozen Runoffs National Championships contested at Mid Oho in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, as well as a return in 2016, there is so much FF history ingrained on Steam Corners Rd that you can feel it when you drive in.

With Multi time SCCA FF National Champion Dave Weitzenhof sure to be there competing in FRP F2000 if a suitable Zink or Citation FF is offered we bet he’ll also happily run in our celebration event.

    Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
