Default West Coast FF 50th Events?

We are planning a multi-car Vintage Formula Ford trip around the country next year to run some of the 50th Anniversary races that have been scheduled. Included in our list of tracks that we may include are Road Atlanta, Road America, Lime Rock, Mid Ohio, and possibly Pittsburgh. I have not seen any events scheduled in the western part of the country, however. What about Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Portland, Pacific Raceways, Willow Springs or Phoenix International? Surely someone on the Left Coast must be planning some big races out there next year. Anyone know of anything going on?

I’ve no idea how they are going to be selecting entries. Northwest FF seems to be involved https://www.norwestff.com/
Not sure if Sovren is planning anything yet.

VARA at Willow Springs March 23-24 - THE 50th event.

    SVRA Laguna Seca May 3-5

will definitely have large FF run groups.

Phoenix International no longer has a road course. INDE Sports Ranch down in Wilcox has a very nice country-club track. ProAutoSports has a great event Memorial Day weekend but a lot of the local FFs may already be on the trailer headed for Montreal by then.

VARA is hosting the 50th anniversary of the very first Formula Ford race at Willow Springs in March.

    Default VARA/FF Drivers Club event

Come and participate in a true part of history.
VARA and Formula Ford Drivers Club will be celebrating 50 years of Formula Ford with a true landmark event. Fifty years ago (September 23, 1969) this weekend was the first ever Formula Ford race here at Willow Springs International Raceway.
Also, the winning ford a Lotus 51, that participated in this event 50 years ago driven by Jules Williams will be part of this event.
This famous Ford was later campaigned by the late Vern Jaques who is considered to be the father of the vintage Formula Ford movement. This Lotus 51 is now owned by his wife Katie Misbach Jaques and will be having this car participate in this historic event.

    True History!

The event will be March 22 - 24, 2019. This will be a 3 day event but Friday the 22nd will be FF Only race day.
Test day will be available Thursday, March 21st but that will be hosted by the Track. Contact Willow Springs directly to arrange this. 661-256-2471
