    Default Symbols on Brake Rotors

Does anybody remember the Toyota Symbol on the red hot rotors of the Indy cars back in the 2003 season.
How did they do that and does anybody have pictures.

i remember looking at that and wondering. I believe the laser was on the upright pointing 'out' and the spokes of the wheels were mirror finished reflecting the 'announcement' back to the disc face. I would think that laser pointing out into the audience would be deemed a health risk and was discontinued.

<edit> I was referring to the Champcar laser writing visible on the brake rotors around that time. Don't recall Indycars with it, though I didn't follow IRL at that time. I remember one car had "BUD LIGHT" visible on the wheels when driving past us.
