    Default Racing Sim Setup Questions

Does anyone have good suggestions for a sim racing chassis/cockpit setup? I'm 5' 11.5 (basically 6 ft) and about 200 lbs. Looking for a plug and play chassis that has the platform, seat, and LCD mount all in one (i will buy pedals/steering wheel seperately, probably Fanatec stuff). Any suggestions? I'm in the US if that helps. I've looked at a couple but I figure I'd ask here.

Obuto revolution love mine. Seat is the only flaw but not bad. Can easily be replaced with any car seat as rails are standard bottom mount sliders.

I have fanatec setup on mine it's very solid no flex which is key when braking hard.

4Play Racing. I have a setup from them including triple monitor mount. Fanatec wheel and pedals mount to it with ease. The 4Play stuff is made from 80-20 aluminum extrusions. So it is very versatile, yet extremely rigid.

Was planning on a single monitor setup, but can't handle VR (motion sickness) so I may do triples

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Just bought a Samsung odyssey and built a new vr capable pc last week, very realistic and huge improvement over my three monitor setup. Nausea initially, but starting to diminish and I associate the onset of the nausea with a lack of breathing. Full breathing = less nausea. After two days of getting setup, nausea almost completely gone.

the realism is worth the cost and acclimation. The cost of the new pc and odyssey is very similar to the cost of new disc brakes for my FV.

For the nausea, buy some ginger tablets from a pharmacy and use at a dose for travel sickness (typically 2 pills). Take 30-45 minutes before you play. Its as good as many prescription medicines.

In a similar manner, any travel sickness remedies will help somewhat. Simply having a fan to cool you may also help (same as 'going outside' on a boat).

Hmm, we will see. I think I got sick within 30 seconds of VR.

I have the Next Level Racing F-GT setup, and love it. You do have to add on a monitor mount, which of course they also sell. I'm running triple 27's on it with Fanatec stuff, works great. Did have to drill 3 holes for the wheel base to mount up, but no other modifications needed.
