Because you don’t have enough to do, is there a place we can peak at the entrants?

    Default I remember 2009...

This reminds me of 2009 as I waited on buying tires for the 40th... No one informed Hoosier there was a reunion type event with 200plus cars and they ran out ! I did manage to get tires that were made in a last minute production run and a large batch was shipped to the event. I was very nervous trailering my car there with a 5 year old set of rock hard tires and fearful someone would sell my tires out from under me !
I will be prepared this time.

    Hi Mike Winebrenner,
Steve Beeler and I absolutely had Hoosier involved, they bought a full page in the program and contributed substantially to the cost of the food and drink for Saturday nights party.
The 40th preceded Hoosiers entry into the treaded VF/HF tire world but Bruce Foss and Hoosier were very much on board and involved almost from he start !

My post was intended to get everyone to see how an event with 200+ entries can play havoc on ANY vendors stock when it comes to normal supply and a once in 10 year demand. Hoosier is a great organization and my tires arrived at track on schedule and worked awesome! (well beyond my driving capability). I will be on the Hoosier Vintage Tires with the Crossle. I am really excited about this event and as the pre-entry numbers show this is going to be epic like the 40th!

    Default FF50th PRE-REGISTRATION NEW!

Just ahead of the holiday season, the pre-registration car count is at 167. Not quite all the way to the 200 car target but getting there. After the New Year, I'll put a full court press on filling the field. If you want to get ahead of the post-holiday rush, here again is the link to the VSCDA pre-registration page: https://vscda.org/ff50th-road-america-pre-registration/

I am way behind on processing the Driver & Car Questionnaires and placing entries into a race group. When I get caught up, I have names and statistics to share.

As always, please feel welcome to visit my website's FF50th page for all the event news releases:

    Default Min weights

What are the min weights for the VSCDA 50th?

Some vintage groups are min with driver, others car only.

This is my personal pet peeve. I believe in another thread he posted the weight as with the driver but I can't find it to give you a link. I'd like to see all the organizations on the same page with regards to weight. I see no reason that some organizations have different minimums for CF vs HF vs PCF when they are different classes.

I agree 100% with this. All FF cars should be weighed with driver at the end of any session and they all should be the same minimum weight.

This lead in.....lead out between org's is ridiculous.

1110lbs with driver and be done with it.

So Steve, do we read this as "167 isn't a big enough field for me"?

    Default The goal is 200!

    Bill:

You have interpreted my American English correctly. Road America's 4 miles are long enough to start 200 cars in two race groups so 167 is not enough. I will find another 33 to fill the field. Maybe Santa will bring them. :-)

    Best holiday wishes to everyone!

    Default Entrants

I just registered. That should take the field to 168.

    Default 180 and counting!

    Happy New Year!

Over the holidays, the FF50th pre-registration car count grew to 180, only 20 cars short of the 200 car target.

We are missing quite a few Driver & Car Questionnaires. I am using the data collected through this questionnaire to make race group assignments. Stacey Donato, the VSCDA office manager, is sending out reminder e-mails.

More news to follow as it happens....
