    Default serious steering issue

If this has been previously addressed please pardon the alert...but would rather errr on the side of caution. I was at Barber going into turn 12 and when I turned my steering wheel the front tires did not turn. I managed to skid about 30 feet before I hit the grass and went head on into the tire wall at about 30 mph. Thank God I was not injured, but it scared the ____out of me.When I pulled my body work off the front I saw that the bearing on the end of the steering box had pushed out. There's no mechanism in place to prevent this from happening. The collar that is on the upper shaft appears to have been designed to prevent the steering shaft from pulling out toward the driver. I have since fabricated a stop to prevent it from happening again and highly suggest you take a look and address tis issue. I have spoken to Moses about it.

Can you post pictures to help us see what happened and what should be avoided?

    Thanks.
