Default Team USA should be announcing soon!

Nicky Hays just withdrew his entry from the 2018 runoffs. There can only be one reason!

For those of us who don't know what is that reason?

There are many reasons why people choose to pass on the Runoffs.

Nicky did win a race at NJ, Tyler won the other 2, and Dario won the Championship over Tyler and Yuven.

I expect the Team USA announcement will come this week.

    Greg

I understand the many reasons not to do the runoffs.. especially with f1600 series.. but Rick said there is only one reason and left it at that like we all should know..

I'm not quite as involved at this point in time so not in the know but still have interest

Well...if one looks at the dates of the SCCA runoffs; they are Oct 16-21. The Formula Ford Festival in England is Oct 20-21. Nicky Hays is one of the finalists...if he withdrew, then it stands to reason he just might be one of the two Team USA scholarship drivers....

Braden had surgery for an arm injury. I know it was bothering him when he drove our car.
I expect he wanted to make sure he was ready for USF2000 by St Pete, so had gone ahead with surgery before the Team USA decision was made.

Having seen all of them drive, and watched most on video, I don't think there was a poor choice in the group.
