What a great opportunity for someone, to team up with a person with a long, deep motorsports background !

For those that don't know, Michael engineered AJ Almindinger to SIX WINS IN 2006 in the CART series! Last year he engineered Ed Jones to Rookie of the Year at Indy for Coyne Racing which us a very small team. Jones was snapped up by Chip Gannassi for 2018.
i can't believe he would do a Runoffs campaign but the last Indycar race is Sears Point so wow what an opportunity for somebody. I'm guessing Mike is currently still with Coyne.
This would be an incredible chance for somebody to have one of the best Indy car engineers working for you.
Mike you probably won't remember the old guy on a bicycle that chatted you up in gasoline alley at Indy last year but that was me.

Actually, it was only 5 wins with AJ.
You & Keith are very kind; yes, I’m still with Coyne & intend to be for many years to come - Dale is a lovely man to work for.
Regarding offering my services at the RunOffs, I’m simply keen to get back in touch with my roots. I don’t get to actually touch the car these days and I truly miss getting my hands dirty. If the right deal comes along, I’ll be there in a heartbeat.
And I still have my toolbox!

I'd hire you but I have a long running rule about engineers not being allowed to have tools in their hands. Oh, and we aren't going to the Runoffs.

On a serious note, I'll second what the others have said about Mike. You couldn't ask for a better guy to have work with you. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years.

Good to see you are still interested in club level racing - we need more guys of your level to come on down and play with the locals! We had a great time having Ron Mathis volunteering to fly himself to the FRP races because he simply considered it to be interesting and fun - after winning things like Le Mans, playing with the Audi diesels.

And you are correct - Dale is a great guy. I got to know him back in the '80's when he was still a driver, and was one of the few team owners who always paid his bills on time! it is so good to see him finally have some success.

    Welcome aboard!

I stand corrected it was ONLY five wins. It must be noted that AJ came to the team in JUNE! Then he left for Neckcar with one Champcar race left to go. I’ve been rooting for Dale for years.

Brent’s biggest concern isn’t dorks with tools, it’s slipping in their blood from them using said tools.
