The BC Historic Motor Races at Mission
Hi folks,
On August 18-19, the Vintage Racing Club of BC will be hosting the BC Historic Motor Races at Mission Raceway Park (an hour outside of Vancouver BC for those who many not know it).
This will be a special year for Formula Vee four (4) FV only races culminating in the Abbotsford Trophy race. The FV racers will be celebrating Al Ores and his 50 years(!) of racing. Come on out and help salute a legend of racing in this corner of the world.
There is also a group for Formula Fords (and Formula Fs) along with approved sports racers and other formula cars (Atlantics, Formula B...). Last year we had 10 FFs entered from a 1971 Monarch Mk8 to a 2005 Van Diemen, and we'd love to expand on it this year.
This is both a VRCBC REVS and SOVREN points event.
On Friday evening, there is the Westwood Reunion Barbecue for a $12 minimum donation (Canadian bucks!) and two tickets to the Saturday dinner are included with your entry (additional tickets available at $25, if I recall correctly).
There is a practice/test-and-tune day on Friday, August 17 for those who've never been to Mision and you can find all the information about the event here:
