    Default Trailer contents insurance

The first of the year had my trailer parked in a storage lot, nice place with security cameras and the whole bit. All that didn't keep it from being broken into. While my car was not in the trailer, I had wheels, spares, bicycles, generator and a whole bunch of just random stuff stored in the trailer to make for some room in my garage to work on the car.

Total of stuff stolen was probably about 15 to 18,000 dollars. While I don't often leave much of value in my trailer would like to at least have the option to do so if I need the room at home in the garage.

What does everyone do for contents insurance?

I bought a policy from Hagerty. Covers theft but also damage in transit and in paddock.

I have my policy through Gulfway Insurers- racensur.com (policy is underwritten by Travelers), on my FM, trailer, spares, tools, etc. Very reasonable premium. Melvin Eaves is the guy to talk to there.
