Default Anyone fit a MXL2 dash?

I just picked up a MXL2 dash and having some issues getting it to fit in the little space there is. The paddle shifter is hitting the outermost edges of the dash. Was thinking of chopping the paddle all the way across where it crosses the bottom edge of the dash. Thoughts?

Looking to see what you guys have done?

Any tips on fixturing a mounting bracket? All I can see using is the square tubing which supports the steering shaft. Was thinking of drilling and installing 2 rivnuts and mounting a flat plate to that. I don't know whether it's a good idea drilling into this piece or not. I personally don't like the thought.

    thanks!

Can you post other pictures of how the paddle setup is mated to the car? How the dash mounts? Is what the paddles mount to a permanent mount or can it be altered?

Elaborating why would be great. Ya know, for the other 2000+ viewers to understand the logic behind it, if there is any.

    Just saying....

I managed to get everything installed this weekend. Found a square tubing clamp bracket used in boating applications to mount hardware on rails. Worked out pretty conveniently in this application, not only for providing a (drill-less) mounting point but also places the dash in the correct location forward/aft.
