    Default 01 VD slave cylinder

Doing a complete frame up on an 01 VD FC car. Just put the bellhousing transmission back in the car yesterday but have a question about the slave cylinder.

It is a 2 piece Tilton, at least I'm pretty sure it's a Tilton best I can tell from pictures. The body of the slave cylinder does not bolt to the bellhousing, just sits on the tube covering the input shaft with a rubber seal that centers it on the tube. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Just seems odd that it is not bolted or otherwise firmly attached to the bellhousing in some manner.

The Tilton assembly is setup the same way in my 2000 VD. You can get a new quad ring if the hrb is loose on the tube.

Thanks Mike - Just seems odd to me that it is not secured to the bellhousing in any way. Where did you get the the new seals?

Taylor or Pegasus should have the quad ring to mount the 700 series bearing.
