Default FF50th @ Road America: Driver Licensing

The following requirements must be met to race at a VSCDA event including the FF50th:
    - be a VSCDA member
    - be at least 18 years old by October of the current year (in this case, 2019)
    - have a Medical on file with VSCDA OR hold a competition racing license
    - have a Car Preparation Sheet on file with VSCDA
    - have wheel-to-wheel competition racing experience within the past 2 years OR
    - have completed a competition racing school within the past 2 years

VSCDA annual membership is $120 with an “early bird” special price of $100 if purchased by mid February. A one-event membership for the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival (the FF50th’s host event) is $75. If you are thinking about the value of an annual membership, VSCDA holds races at three other fine venues: GingerMan, Blackhawk, and Grattan. Additionally, a driver's school is run in conjunction with the GingerMan race weekend in early May.

Competition licenses issued by the VMC, SCCA, FIA, and CASC are routinely accepted at VSCDA events. If you are planning on racing at the FF50th on a competition license issued by another organization, please contact me for pre-approval. We certainly want no surprises at registration. :-)

    Hello Steve,
I plan to enter the event, I race on a Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs license. I am sure a few of our other members will be running the event as well. Can you please include the MCSCC license in your accepted list. If you need further information you can contact me directly at rewoelfle@gmail.com

    Rob:

Thanks for checking in. Midwestern Council drivers frequently cross over to race with the VSCDA. You and others with MCSCC licenses are good to go. See you in 571 days!

Any chance of an SVRA license being accepted?

    Default Vrg/vdca

Same question here for VRG and VDCA, though both are likely covered within the RFFCS group. Still the question is licensing bodies.

Sorry for the confusion. Here is a more complete statement on FF50th license requirements...

Not only are Vintage Motorsports Council (VMC) licenses acceptable at VSCDA events, so are licenses from all VMC member organizations. That includes not only MCSCC but also VRG, VDCA, and SVRA. Here is a link to the complete list of VMC member organizations:

Please keep the questions coming. It is so much better for everyone to get these details right now so that there are no hassles at registration.
